EXECUTIVE
Executive Director, 216 West Jackson Blvd., Chicago. Oversees the entire operation of the agency, provides leadership to the Board of Directors in the development and management of agency policy. Provides strategic leadership, leads in development of revenue generation and acts as an advocate for community development/public outreach. Identifies changes in community and client needs and assists the Board in developing and implementing the agency's annual and long range objectives. Should have a minimum of seven years of experience in a high-level administrative/management capacity, including five or more years of related experience as a senior administrator in a not-for-profit human services organization. Should possess a graduate level degree in Social Sciences, Rehabilitation, Counseling, Business or Public Administration or related field. Demonstrated experience working with a Board of Directors, fiscal and personnel management systems, community and public relations, strategic planning and Jewish communal affairs. (HF - 5084)
MANAGEMENT
Assistant Director, SEP, 300 Revere Dr., Northbrook. Coordinates and implements the delivery of supported employment program services. Provides direct supervision to SEP staff, monitors files and follows standard operating procedures in accordance with funder requirements. Prepares monthly billing for processing by finance department. Provides placement assistance to the ICRE program. supervises staff of the SEP program. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Agency's policies and applicable laws. Interviews, hires, and trains employees; plans, assigns, and directs work; conducts performance appraisals on a timely basis; rewards and disciplines employees; addresses complaints and resolves problems. Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in appropriate behavioral science from four-year college or university. Three to five years supervisory experience required. (NC – 5116) - SEP
PART TIME
Extra Learning Instructor, 40 DuPage Ct. , Elgin/Aurora (15 hours per week). Implements and assigns curricula for e-learning programs to high school students with disabilities and in ESL programming. Coordinates assignments with classroom instructors. Customized instruction in an individual or small group setting. Bachelor’s Degree in education, teaching certificate required. Previous experience with e-learning curricula and youth highly preferred. Bi-lingual in Spanish a definite plus. Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle required. (NC-5117) – KEEY
Program Coordinator, Level I (22.5 hours per week) 216 W. Jackson Blvd., Chicago. The Program Coordinator, Level I is responsible for assisting with the marketing, client recruiting and evaluation of the BEST Small Business Program. Serves as liaison between the program and other area non-profits in the community at large, especially those servicing ex-offenders and veterans. May interface with other funding entities and organizations such as foundations and government agencies as needed. Provides coordination assistance between program participants and trainers, mentors and volunteer consultants. 2-year college degree required with some experience in Business Management, Finance, Accounting, Marketing/Advertising or Operations Management. 6 months to 1 year experience in any business area and/or background in entrepreneurship a significant plus. Capable of touch-typing accurately preferred. Any teaching experience with adult learners a plus. Experience working with ex-offenders and veterans a definite plus. (DR-5112) – Duman Microenterprise
Mentoring Coordinator (19 hours per week) 4909 W. Division St., Chicago. Provides effective role models to help home health aides and transitioning direct care workers identify and pursue appropriate career aspirations and pathways. Creates partnerships with potential employers. Matches graduates with employer mentors. Bachelor's degree in a related field, and a minimum of two years related business experience required, preferably in the healthcare field. Computer literacy. Drivers license and vehicle required. Senior Business Analyst (30 hours per week) Responsible for assisting the more complex formerly incarcerated microenterprise clients and returning veterans with their business plans and business financial documents by providing technical assistance and analysis on an individual basis. Evaluates client’s financial background and business experience to determine loan repayment viability. Performs considerable outreach efforts in communities known to have large populations of returning citizens. B.A. or B.S. Degree in Business Management, Finance, Accounting or Operations Management required. Requires minimum 3-5 years experience in any business financial area and/or background in microenterprise and entrepreneurship, or operations management. Business consulting experience is a plus and experience working with low-income, disadvantaged communities and veterans a plus. TEMPORARY
Clerical Aide/Scholarship (20 hours per week) 216 W. Jackson Blvd., Chicago. Assists in the effective functioning of the Scholarship function in the Career Development Department by performing a variety of clerical tasks. Performs data entry. Performs routine filing. Handles mailings. High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and minimum two years general office experience required. Detail orientation and ability to multi-task is a must.
